Samsung TV Has Sound but No Picture? Check the Backlight
If your TV plays sound but its screen remains dark, a failed LED backlight is one possible cause. With the TV operating, shining a flashlight at an angle onto the screen may reveal a faint picture. That can suggest that the panel is producing an image while its backlight is not illuminating it, but does not by itself identify whether the LED strips or another circuit needs repair.
